Anker 733 Weight and Portability: Is It Too Heavy to Carry Daily?
At 326g (11.5 oz), the Anker 733 is heavier than a standalone GaN wall charger — but significantly lighter than traditional high-capacity power banks. Here’s the honest portability assessment.
Anker 733 Power Bank (GaNPrime 65W)
- 🔹 65W total output
- 🔹 10,000mAh + built-in plug
- 🔹 USB-C PD + USB-A ports
- 🔹 Charges a MacBook in 2 hrs
- ✅ All-in-one travel companion
- ✅ Built-in AC plug
- ✅ Fast 65W output
- ✅ Compact size
- ❌ No wireless charging
- ❌ Gets warm at full load
Weight Comparison: Context Matters
| Device | Weight | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Anker 733 GaNPrime 65W | 326g | Replaces both charger + power bank |
| Standard 65W GaN wall charger | ~120g | Wall charger only, no battery |
| Typical 10,000mAh power bank | ~220g | Battery only, needs separate charger |
| Wall charger + power bank (combined) | ~340g | Two devices together |
| Anker 737 PowerCore 24K | ~680g | 2.4× heavier but 2.4× the capacity |
Key insight: The Anker 733 (326g) weighs less than carrying a wall charger + power bank separately (~340g) while providing the same functionality. You’re not adding weight — you’re replacing two items with one.
Dimensions and Pocket Carry
Anker 733 dimensions: 3.97 × 2.63 × 1.34 inches (100.8 × 66.8 × 34mm)
- Jacket pocket: Fits comfortably in most jacket breast or side pockets
- Jeans pocket: Tight but possible in large back pockets
- Personal item bag: Easily fits in any side pocket or main compartment
- Laptop bag side pocket: Perfect fit in standard accessory pockets
Daily Carry Assessment
For a work bag or laptop backpack, the Anker 733 is extremely comfortable to carry. The compact form factor and weight distribution are similar to a mid-sized powerbank.
For pants pocket carry, it’s on the heavier and bulkier side — most users toss it in their bag rather than their pocket.
Airport & Travel Portability
The Anker 733’s foldable prongs are a major portability advantage — no protruding metal that catches on bag liners or breaks off under pressure. The smooth plastic exterior survives bag life well.
Compared to a traditional travel kit:
– Before Anker 733: Wall charger (120g) + Power bank (220g) + USB-C cable = ~400g+ and 2+ items
– With Anker 733: Single device (326g) + USB-C cable = ~380g and 1 item
Less weight, fewer items, same capability.
