Selecting the Right 100W USB-C Cable for UGREEN Nexode
A 100W charger can only deliver maximum speed if paired with a compatible 100W E-Marker USB-C cable. Using an improper cable will throttle your charging speed to 60W or lower.

What Is an E-Marker Chip and Why Is It Required?
Under official USB-IF specifications, standard USB-C cables are rated for up to 60W (20V/3A).
To safely transmit up to 100W (20V/5A) or 240W (48V/5A), the cable must contain an internal E-Marker (Electronic Marker) microchip in the connector housing. This chip identifies the cable’s thermal and current rating to the UGREEN charger.
- No E-Marker Chip: Charger automatically caps output at 60W max.
- With E-Marker Chip: Charger enables full 100W power delivery.

Cable Length vs Power Loss
When charging at 100W:
– 3.3ft (1m) & 6.6ft (2m) cables: Virtually 0% power drop.
– 10ft (3m) high-quality cables: Minimal resistance loss (~1-2W drop).
– Thin unbranded 10ft cables: Avoid — can cause voltage sag and thermal buildup.
