Troubleshooting: Clearing Roborock Q5+ Jams & Error Alerts

If your Roborock app sends an “Error 5” or “Main Brush Jammed” notification, follow these simple fixes.

Quick Troubleshooting Fixes:

  1. Remove Main Brush Cover: Squeeze the two red tabs to pop off the main brush guard.
  2. Pop Out Axle Bearings: Pull the rubber brush out and slide the removable side caps off to clear hair wrapped around the inner metal pins.
  3. Clean Cliff Sensors: Wipe the 4 bottom cliff sensors with a dry cloth to clear “Error 4 (Dirty Sensors)” warnings.
