3 FOUND DEAD IN MUENSTER DUE TO DELIVERY VEHICLE CRASH.
A delivery vehicle slammed into a crowd Sat in an apparently deliberate attack within the German town of Muenster. It’s killing 3 individuals and leaving twenty others wounded, police said.
The police spokesperson adds that the driver also shot and killed himself.
Authorities are treating the incident as a deliberate attack, the interpreter said.
Muenster police spokesman Andreas Boden told local media that the motive and identity of the driver is unknown.
The attack took place within the recent part of the town, a vicinity popular on weekends.
The vehicle drove into a restaurant’s open terrace around 3:30 p.m. local time, according to police representative Vanessa Arlt.
Arlt says the old city will remain closed, and police have asked individuals to avoid the city center.
Saturday’s crash occurred on the annual anniversary of an identical attack in Stockholm, Sweden, where a stolen beer struck drove into pedestrians, killing 5 individuals.
