Is Neymar Out Of The World Cup?

The top heads of Brazil appear to be sweating once more as fitness issues with Neymar keep continuing. The news is that the Selecao talisman has limped out of training on Tuesday. The PSG star only recently recovered from a broken foot to take his place in the Selecao’s final squad. But, Is Neymar Out Of The World Cup? Find out below:

What’s cooking?

Neymar made two appearances in warm-up wins against Croatia and Austria. And the  £200million forward was last on the field when played the full 90 minutes against Switzerland. However, when Tite’s side was out for a full training on Tuesday at their training base, Neymar couldn’t complete the session.

A spokesman pointed out  ‘the large number of fouls committed on him in Switzerland game’ as a reason for the discomfort.

It was appearing innocuous before his attempts to continue with the exercise. However, he would soon succumb to the pain- leaving the session early. He was led out of the training session by the team physio Bruno Mazziotti.

The Brazil camp is claiming this to be an ankle issue. Yet, it is that very foot in which Neymar had suffered a fractured metatarsal and sprained ankle when PSG won over Marseille back in February. The injury had kept him out for three months.

“He was feeling pain thanks to the large number of fouls he suffered in the Switzerland game,

“He complained of pain and so he went to physio and he will train normally tomorrow.”

as said by one of the spokesmen from the camp.

Brazil is going to be facing Costa Rica at the weekend in their second match. So, Is Neymar Out Of The World Cup? Only time will tell.
