A heartfelt apology to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is due. Because the real royal wedding is coming up soon. The King in the North, Jon Snow(a.k.a Kit Harrington) is going to marry the Wildling known as Ygritte(a.k.a Rose Leslie) in Scotland on Saturday. A Red Wedding?
The Game Of Thrones stars has registered their wedding date, June 23, at a government office in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. And it turns out that Leslie’s family owns an actual castle in the area! That is confirmed to be the venue for the big wedding. The Daily Mail has reported that Wardhill Castle, which has been in the family for a whopping 900 years, is being set up with tents for the big day.
Harrington and Leslie are going to their vows in the castle’s drawing room per the reports. It has a wedding license and will be able to accommodate up to 80 people. The wedding breakfast and after-dinner speeches are going to be held in a tent on the property.
According to the property’s website, the wedding tent, or marquee, is mostly set up within the Walled Garden. It is hidden in the woods to add an element of surprise after the ceremony.
The Game Of Thrones co-stars and friends of the couple are making their way to their neck of the woods. Photographers have spotted them arriving at the Aberdeen airport on Friday. Sophie Turner was spotted FaceTiming her fiancee Joe Jonas.
Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister was also spotted at the airport:
Game Of Thrones producer D.B.Weiss and Emilia Clarke who plays the Mother Of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen have also been spotted by the Aberdeen Press and Journal.
Normally, weddings in the show don’t really end that well(yes, we’re talking about The Red Wedding). But, let’s hope there aren’t any plot twists this time and the marriage lasts a lifetime.
