If you’re an Otaku, I’m sure you already watched Parasyte – The maxim. But if you’re not, this anime will force you to become an Otaku by its unique concept, marvallous screenplay and breathtaking suspense. I tried my best not to give any spoilers and… there you go! The Review of Parasyte – The Maxim.
Parasyte – The maxim aka Kiseijuu : Sei no kakuritsu is a series with 24 episodes which is about a 17-year-old guy, Izumi Shinichi who lives with his mother and father in Tokyo. One night, some worm-like aliens called Parasytes invaded Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasyte attempted to crawl into Shinichi’s ear while he was sleeping, but failed since he was wearing headphones, and entered his body by burrowing into his arm instead, taking over his right hand and is named Migi. Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from traveling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. The Shinichi-Migi duo capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. Parasytes – alien creatures who must invade and take control of a human host to survive – have come to earth. No one knows the secret except high school student, Shinichi Izumi, who’s right hand has been invaded by a Parasyte. As the story forwards ahead, Shinichi and Migi are caught in the crossfire between humans who want to kill off parasytes, and the parasytes who see their unique existence as a threat that must be eliminated.
Overall, A top notch science fiction anime with unlimited potential. Hitoshi Iwaaki, the creator of Parasyte – The Maxim left no opportunity where you can be bored! I strongly recommend everyone to watch Parasyte – The Maxim.
