What Is Thermal Guard Technology?
UGREEN equips the Nexode series with Thermal Guard, a hardware monitoring framework featuring:
– High-precision NTC thermistors sampling internal temperatures 800 times per second.
– Automatic power throttling if internal core temperatures exceed safe operating limits.
– Fire-retardant PC (polycarbonate) outer casing.
Thermal Stress Test Methodology

Thermal Assessment Summary
- Max Temperature Reached: 125°F (51.6°C) on the lower casing near the wall prongs.
- Safety Ceiling: The international safety standard (IEC 62368-1) permits plastic charger casings to reach up to 170°F (77°C).
- Feel: Warm and solid to hold, but comfortably within touchable limits. No plastic burning smell or thermal throttling shutdowns observed.
