Google has announced updates to their wireless Pixel Buds just yesterday. It will add new gesture features which should have been included in the original launch. The ability to manually turn the earbuds on and off and more easily switch between paired Bluetooth devices are some of the new features. You Can Finally Turn Off Google Pixel’s Buds:
Users will now be able to triple tap the right earbud and turn the Pixel Buds on or off. Yes, until now, users had no way to turn off the Pixel Buds other than putting them back to their impractical case. This is not like AirPods and other wireless earbuds which can turn off if you take them out of the ear. That’s why triple tapping is an important and much-needed update.
Now, as a user, you get to choose Pixel Buds from the Bluetooth menu of any other formerly paired device you wish to listen on. And the Buds will instantly disconnect from their current device to the new one.
Finally, Google says that the users can also skip tracks. You will need to change it in the Google Assistant app on the phone and you can still use the skip track voice command even when the double tap is enabled.
