Apple’s Free Month Of iCloud Storage Offer Is Just Bad Customer Service

The most common problem of an Apple user is the lack of storage space.“You do not have enough space in iCloud to back up your iPhone.” – This message is familiar to any Apple user. So to relieve this problem Apple has offered a free first month of their upgraded iCloud storage. But this might not be a solution, just pushing away the problem. Here’s how Apple’s Free Month Of iCloud Storage Offer Is Just Bad Customer Service:

Storage in the Apple ecosystem

Apple sells all kinds of smart devices. The iPhone, iMac, iPod, iPad, Macbook, these are iconic Apple products. But limited storage space irritates most Apple users. Their products are no doubt great. But they are not easily upgradable. The iPhones don’t support expandable SD storage. So pretty soon after purchase, the phone storage fills up with photos and videos of our loved ones. Apple has their iCloud storage feature. They provide 5GB free storage for every device. After that, there are upgraded storage amount at various price points.

The Problem with iCloud

iCloud’s offers are pretty outdated in this day and age. Their free 5GB offer hasn’t changed since 2011. It’s really not enough to store our media. Users run out of storage very fast. Resulting in frustration. Their competitor Google provides unlimited photo storage in the cloud. While Apple has only 5GB to spare. Apple users are always complaining about limited storage. But Apple isn’t in a hurry to listen to their customers. You are reading “Apple’s Free Month Of iCloud Storage Offer Is Just Bad Customer Service”.

Free month of iCloud

Recently Apple has put out an offer. Their upgraded iCloud packages are available for free for the first month. On the surface, it seems like a great deal. But it’s just a scheme to suck more money out of their users. It’s similar to those free trials from shady websites.

The idea is, a user will enable the trial and forget about it. After the trial is over Apple will be getting the fees from the careless user. Or the user will use the trial and end up dependent on it. Causing them to buy it. They’ll have to buy storage which they should get for free. Do you agree Apple’s Free Month Of iCloud Storage Offer Is Just Bad Customer Service?

Is upgraded iCloud worth it?

In front of Google’s unlimited photo storage offer, iCloud is very limited. Today, 5GB cloud storage is nowhere near enough. We expect good customer service after buying a premium device. A company that sells devices worth thousands of dollars should be more concerned about their customers. Apple neglecting and then trapping users to get more money from them is not acceptable.

Is it worth it?
Is it worth it?

We think Apple should listen to their customers and provide better service.iCloud’s free trial is a step in the right direction. But a proper solution for backups and cloud storage is needed. But what do you think? Is Apple’s approach is acceptable?
