Do people love the Dodge Viper? Yes, they do. And why wouldn’t they? The recipe is simple, bonkers and effective. Stick a huge naturally-aspirated V10 up front. Then you send the power to its rear wheels through a manual gearbox and try to keep it tight. Dodge Viper May Come Back With A V8 Under The Bonnet.
There are reports claiming that this genre-bending coupe will make a comeback in 2021. The format, first of all, is going to be quite familiar. There will be a spaceframe platform used and will have a long bonnet with the engine mounted just behind the front axle. However, there’s going to be a big departure from the Viper norm: there might not be a V10.
The C&D report claims that Chrysler is going to cook up a brand new V8. It will replace the ancient iron block Hemi engine. The publication is merely speculating that the new V8 will be used as the Viper’s first power plant. And it also does not seem likely that the US firm will develop a brand new V10 just for the car.
And continuing with this speculation, the reports claim that the starting point may be around 550bhp. It may be a supercharged 700bhp+ version that may join later on.
