Follow These Rules For Intermittent Fasting

Do you wish to lose weight? Well, we have some of the most important tips on losing weight. There are many things to consider before you move on to this thing. I am sure you have heard of Intermittent Fasting. It is exactly what it sounds like. It also does intermittent fasting help with IBS. Follow These Rules For Intermittent Fasting:

First option- 16:8

This is one of the most popular options for fasting. This means you fast for 16 hours(includes sleeping) which can be easy to do if you are on an LHCF diet. You have to trade breakfast for a cup of coffee. For the first meal of the day, you can have lunch. Fasting from 8pm to 12 noon-if we take that as an example, then you are fasting for 16 hours.

Of course, there are other methods of intermittent fasting. However, this is the most popular one, and you do not have to count the calories as well with this method. You can do this fasting as often as you want to; once or twice a week is good enough in most cases.

Other kinds of intermittent fasting:

  • You can do the 5:2 diet. Eat as much as you need to satisfy your stomach for 5 days of the week. Then eat calorie-restricted for the rest of the 2 days in the week. 500 calories per day are optimum for women whereas men can take in 600 calories on these two days.

What to do when you are hungry?

Doesn’t any advice about intermittent fasting contradict the advice of eating when hungry? To some extent yes. It is recommended that you eat when you are hungry as a first option. But, eating until you are satisfied with the meals is a better option.

However, if this not completely effective for your body, then intermittent fasting is quite the effective addition. Remember that, between fasting periods you can still eat until you are satisfied.

Follow These Rules For Intermittent Fasting and get a better shape.

What’s acceptable to drink during fasting?

During intermittent fasting, you are not allowed to eat; however, you can definitely drink. Water is the drink of choice but tea and coffee are also great options. During the longer fasts, adding a little salt is a great option.

Anything you are going to drink in this period should ideally be zero calories. However, you can cheat a bit and add some milk to your tea or coffee.

Who must not do Intermittent Fasting?

  • If you have an addiction to food or sugar, then intermittent fasting will increase your craving for food.
  • If you are completely sleep deprived or feel depressed then take care of that problem beforehand.
  • If you are on medication, for example-insulin, the doses may have to be adjusted during the fasting.

These are some of the rules of intermittent fasting. Follow These Rules For Intermittent Fasting and get into shape!
